How to Use AI Smart Templates in Visor
Getting started with AI Smart Templates is as easy as hitting the “Create new workbook” button in Visor. Watch our tutorial video to see how simple and intuitive AI Smart Templates are or check out the step-by-step guide below.

AI Smart Templates Step-by-Step Guide:
Step 1: Hit “Create new workbook” button
When you log into Visor (or after you create a new account), you’ll need to create a workbook to use AI Smart Templates.
Step 2: Choose Your Template
The AI will prompt you with a list of suggested template types based on your data.
Step 3 (Optional): Give AI More Context
After choosing a template, you can add more context or details to provide AI with more info.
EXAMPLE: If you chose a “Product Roadmap” template but want to give AI extra context like: “This is a Q2 roadmap that I’ll share with our CEO,” the AI will likely apply filters so that your roadmap doesn’t show all the subtasks you imported. Instead, it’ll create a high-level view for you.
If none of the templates meet your requirements, you can use the “write-in” option to describe what you want to create in Visor by clicking “Other.”
Step 4: Import (Or Input) Your Data
Visor allows you to import data from sources like Jira and Asana.
If you’re new to Visor, follow the two-step connection wizard to integrate Visor with your SaaS apps. Visor will import your data. If you don’t want to import data, you can manually input data into a workbook AI will spin up for you.
Step 5: Watch the magic happen!
Sit back and relax as AI creates your custom visualization in seconds.
Using the AI Smart Template that was created for your needs, you’ll get a workbook with multiple views. The AI will even name your workbook (and all the views in it).
Step 6: Add Milestones, Adjust Formatting & Filters, and Then Share
Visor’s AI Smart Templates are a jumping off point.
From there, you can add milestones, choose the specific colors you want for your formatting, and add/remove filters to the views in your workbook.
You can also decide to delete (or add) views to your workbook. When you’re done, you can share your workbook with stakeholders, clients, or team members.
