Can I use Visor’s Gantt Chart Template for free? Or are the AI Smart Templates an add-on?
Yes, upon registering you will have a 14-day free trial of Visor’s Team plan, giving you access to all of Visor’s premium features, including our Gantt view.
After this trial period, your Gantt chart will still be in tact. In addition, you can continue to use our AI Smart Templates after your trial ends, using the views that are included in our free plan (Table and Board views).
To make edits to it or adjust your Gantt after your trial ends, you can select our Team, Starter, or Business plan. You can also continue using Visor’s Free account, which lets you continue to use our Board view and Table view.
Can I adjust my Gantt chart or does Visor’s template make all the decisions for me?

You can always customize your Gantt afterwards. Whether you want to color-code your Gantt chart, add Gantt chart milestones, apply filters, or even add swimlanes to your Gantt, you can do that (and more) after our templates provide you with a Gantt.
Can I still use Visor’s Gantt Chart Template if I don’t have start and end date fields?
Some teams (especially agile teams) don’t use dates. While we do offer the ability to create agile Gantt charts, you do need start and end date fields. If you don’t have any that you’re importing from apps like Jira or Asana, you can use Visor’s custom fields to plot your Gantt chart.
What fields and data can I import from apps like Asana and Jira when using Visor’s Gantt chart template?
You can bring in dropdown fields, such as assignee. You can also import sprint fields, date fields, and most custom fields.
As noted above, if you are using our Jira Gantt chart or Asana Gantt chart template, you do need date fields to plot a Gantt chart in Visor. If you don’t have date fields in Jira or Asana, you can add them using Visor’s custom fields.
Data hierarchy:
You can import any level across your Jira hierarchy (e.g., Initiative, Epic, Task, Bug, Subtask) or your Asana sections/projects. Apply filters in Visor to show the level of granularity that you want in your Gantt chart.
However, because Jira does not offer Milestones, you cannot import that type of data. However, you can add milestones in Visor to augment your Jir data. Because Asana does offer milestones, you can import Asana milestones data into Visor.
I’d like to visualize multiple projects in my Gantt chart. Can I do that with Visor’s Gantt chart template?
Yes, you can definitely import (or input) multiple projects when using Visor’s Gantt chart template.
For Jira users:
While our basic importer allows you to import just one Jira project, you can use our JQL importer to import many. (Check out our JQL cheat sheet to get tips on queries you can run.)

For Asana users:
Visor’s basic Asana importer allows you to choose from multiple Asana projects, making us a wonderful solution for multi-project Gantts and portfolio roadmaps in Asana.
While Asana does offer a portfolio add-on, you do have to upgrade to use it. Therefore, you can use Visor as a cost effective hack for your Asana project portfolio management. Check out how in this tutorial below:
Non-Integrated users:
You don’t have to import data in Visor to create a Gantt chart or roadmap. You can also manually input data using our custom fields.
Can I also set up my Gantt chart manually or do I have to use a Gantt Chart template?
