Can I use Visor’s Agile Roadmap Template for free?
Yes, upon registering you will have a 14-day free trial of Visor’s Team plan, giving you access to all of Visor’s premium features. After this trial period, your roadmap will still be in tact.
To make edits to your roadmap or adjust it after your trial, you can select our Team, Starter, or Business plan. You can also continue using Visor’s Free account, which lets you continue to use our Board view and Table view.
TLDR: Visor uses our Gantt chart view for our agile roadmap template. This view is a premium view, which you can use for 14 days during our free trial. Your roadmap won’t be erased after the 14 days.
Can I add swimlanes to agile roadmaps in Visor?
Yes, Visor offers a feature called Group by, which allows you to group your data in swimlanes to your project roadmaps. In order to use this feature, you must group your roadmap by a field that has at least two dropdown choices. You can use this feature in our Gantt view.
In addition, Visor has two views that offer swimlanes: Timeline chart and Kanban Board views. These allow you to add swimlanes even without our Group by feature.
I don’t have date fields. Can I still use Visor for an agile roadmap?
Our Board view allows you to create a visualization, even if you don’t have dates. However, our Gantt view does require date fields.
If you don’t have date fields in Jira or Asana to import, you can add custom date fields in Visor to plot your roadmap after importing your project data. These dates won’t appear in the app you’re importing data from but will help you plot your roadmap in Visor.
We understand that agile Gantt charts and agile roadmaps often might feel antithetical to the iterative nature of agile. That’s why we offer you Board views (which don’t require any date fields) and custom fields (so you can add fields without messing up your Asana or Jira project management process).

Can I import my Sprint fields from apps like Jira and Asana for my Visor agile roadmap?
Yes, you can import sprint fields.
However, as noted above, if you are using our agile roadmap template, agile Gantt chart template or are using Visor to create Jira Roadmaps, you do need date fields to plot the roadmap or Gantt chart. From there, you can also use Sprint fields to add swimlanes to your roadmap or even color-code it using conditional formatting.
If you end up using our Board view instead of our roadmap or Gantt chart templates, then can use your Sprint fields to plot your roadmap.
I have multiple projects I’d like to visualize in my agile roadmap. Can I import them all?
Yes, you can definitely visualize multiple projects in our agile roadmaps.
For Jira users:
Visor allows you to import multiple Jira projects using JQL. (Check out our JQL cheat sheet if you need help.) You can also plot multiple epics in a Jira roadmap.
Because you can visualize multiple Jira projects in our agile roadmaps, Visor is a great alternative to Jira’s built-in roadmap options, Timeline and Advanced Roadmaps. While Advanced Roadmaps does allow you to visualize multiple projects, not all Jira plans offer this feature. And Jira’s Timeline does not allow more than one project. For Asana users:
If you’re importing from Asana, our basic importer will allow you to bring multiple projects for your agile portfolio roadmap. Asana does offer a portfolio add-on, but it is not included in all plans.
Therefore, a great way to hack your Asana project management (especially if you’re managing a portfolio of projects) is to use Visor for Asana roadmaps and Asana Gantt charts that have multiple projects. You can check out how it works in the tutorial below.
Non-Integrated users:
You don’t have to import data in Visor to create an agile roadmap. You can also manually input data using our custom fields.
Can I also set up my agile roadmap manually?
While our AI Smart Templates are easy to use (making Visor one of the most intuitive AI project management tools out there), we understand that not everyone wants to use AI. (FYI: If you have questions about what data Visor uses for its AI, you can check out our Knowledge Base.)
You can also manually configure your roadmap in Visor.
