Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use Visor for free?
Of course! Visor is happy to offer a fully-functional Free plan without any time limits. This gives you nearly complete access to Visor so you can experience just how productive your team can be. There is no limit on how long you can use the Visor Free plan or the number of collaborators you can invite. You can upgrade at any time if you run out of sync credits or need any of the premium features or limits.
What is a Sync Credit?
A sync credit is Visor’s way of measuring your integration usage. Generally, each value pushed or pulled via an integration counts as a sync credit. Our paid plans include enough sync credits for the majority of our users and their use cases.
For example, assume you have a workbook with 50 rows, 10 columns of integrated data, and 15 cells with changes to push. Visor would use 15 sync credits to push those changes to the connected app and 500 sync credits to pull fresh data in all the cells from the connected app, for a total of 515 sync credits.
In the example configuration above, the Visor Free plan would allow nearly 30 syncs per month of this workbook. The Visor Pro plan expands this to 485 syncs per month. Note that larger workbooks will require proportionately more sync credits per sync as they grow in records (rows) and columns.
The following are examples of actions that require sync credits:
- 1 credit per cell changed & pushed to a connected app
- 1 credit per cell pulled from a connected app
- 1 credit per field refresh, per record type
- 1 credit per search run to a connected app
What happens when I run out of Sync Credits or exceed my plan limits?
If you are on the Visor Free plan and run out of sync credits, it will not be possible to run any additional operations that require sync credits. You can upgrade to a paid plan to continue working, or you can wait until the monthly billing cycle resets.
If you are on a paid plan with the pay-as-you-go option enabled, you can continue working without interruption. You will be automatically billed according to the rate plan in effect at that time for the sync credits you used beyond what’s included in your plan and booster packs. Otherwise, when you’ve exceeded your plan limits and do not have pay-as-you-go enabled, it will not be possible to run any additional operations that require sync credits until you upgrade your plan, purchase sync credit booster packs, or wait for the monthly billing cycle to reset.
In all cases, if a sync credit limit is reached and you do not have the pay-as-you-go option enabled, any in-progress operations will still proceed fully, even if doing so requires more credits than available. These credits are our courtesy; we do not want you to be left with partially completed syncs, and you will not be billed for these minor overages.
How does Visor’s pricing work?
The Free plan supports a powerful set of features and is available for free for any number of collaborators without time limits. The plan is limited in the number of workbooks, views, connections, and sync credits that you are allowed to use, as listed above.
If you want to access premium features and increased limits, you can upgrade your workspace to either the Pro or Ultimate plan. Once upgraded, you’ll be able to create more workbooks with more views, make more connections, and perform more syncs. Note that the billing is based on the number of Editors you want to be able to make changes to your workbooks. All of our plans support unlimited viewers, so you can share your workbook with as many team members as you want.
Can I buy sync credit packs on the Free plan?
No, sync credit packs are reserved for paid users.
Do I need to buy Visor licenses for all of my collaborators?
No, you only need licenses for Editors and Commenters. We consider someone an Editor or Commenter if they create their own workbooks, comment on existing workbooks, make changes to data in workbooks, or otherwise have access above the “Viewer” level.
When you are on the Visor Free plan, you can have as many Viewers and Owners as you like. When you upgrade to a paid plan, that’s when you’ll want to consider which collaborators need Editor licenses.
Do I have to pay for all the users in my Jira/Salesforce/HubSpot account?
No! You only have to pay for the users you would like to be able to edit your Visor workbooks. Editors have the ability to pull new records, make changes to connected fields, and sync changes back to your connected apps. All Visor plans (even the Free plan) have unlimited viewers.
What is a workspace?
A workspace contains your team’s workbooks, which contain your data. Our pricing model acts on the workspace level meaning any workbooks in a Pro or Ultimate workspace will have premium features enabled. This also means that sync credits and other limits are calculated on the workspace level.
Can I belong to multiple workspaces in Visor?
You can belong to any number of workspaces in Visor. You can have a personal workspace on our Free plan, a team workspace on a Pro plan, and other workspaces on different plans.
Does Visor offer a Service Level Agreement (SLA)?
We do not offer a standard SLA. For teams with greater than 50 members, we can offer a custom SLA. Contact our Customer Success team to learn more.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept credit cards. We use Stripe to process our payments so we do not handle your payment information directly. At this time, we are unable to accept other forms of payment.
How secure is Visor?
Safeguarding your data is our top priority. Visor guards your privacy, ensuring every action on our site is secure and every detail remains confidential. All of your data is stored encrypted on AWS. You can read more about our security practices on our Trust & Security page.

Will I be charged sales tax?
In order to stay compliant with local regulations, Visor will charge sales tax based on the region your company is located in. Sales tax is calculated automatically by Stripe.
Is there an on-premises version of Visor?
We are passionate about the web and do not plan to offer an internally hosted version of Visor.
Does Visor offer a discount for nonprofits?
Visor is happy to offer eligible nonprofits a discount on Pro or Ultimate plans. Reach out to our Customer Success team to learn about how we can help.

How do I cancel my Visor subscription?
In order to cancel your subscription, fill out the form at the bottom of your settings and billings page. You will be asked to complete a short form confirming your request to cancel your subscription. The cancellation will only take effect after you have submitted this confirmation form.
What is your refund policy?
If you’ve made a mistake signing up for a Visor subscription and have already paid, we will offer a refund if you let us know within 72 hours of your sign up for a monthly plan or 30 days after you sign up for annual billing. Refunds of amounts in excess of $24 will be returned net of our non-refundable credit card processing fees. Customers may only request a refund through this program once. Individuals establishing multiple accounts with different email addresses will still be considered one customer for the context of this policy. The Visor team reserves the right to deny refunds in cases of suspected fraud or abuse. You can expect to see the refund on your credit card statement in 7-10 business days.
